Believe it or not, through our work with law firm clients we’ve learned that holding a group session for everyone to create their individual marketing plans together is the best way to do it.
One law firm got so much out of our initial strategic planning session that they asked us to stay and do a separate strategy session with their associates and create a plan for each one.
However, our work together turned out to be far more interesting than individual lawyers coming up with individual marketing plans.
When they were all together, that’s when the magic happened.
They very quickly saw how they could support each other. They started feeding off of each other’s ideas. One person’s goals inspired others to create their own.
By helping each other see how their different strengths contributed to the overall big picture, they were able to build marketing plans that worked for them and made sense for the firm.
Once you create an overall marketing strategy, you can use it to guide how you put the rest of the pieces together.
